Tommy is so prideful, confused and disrespectful that he accuses Teddy of these character traits!
Teddy tries to explain to Tommy why there can only be one answer, but Tommy is too prideful and self-absorbed with learning the “new way” that he won’t even look at Teddy’s perspective.
Everyone has a belief system (BS) (even though I have been called “RD” for making this statement. This was a backstabbing session that my “loving friends” had when I wasn’t in the room). Everyone believes something, even if it is believing that there is nothing…it is still a belief. The fact that anyone would disagree with this is perplexing to me, but life is diverse.
We shouldn’t be offended or confuse disagreements with being disrespectful if someone has a different belief system. Ultimately, there can only be one answer to many things in life. We should be confident in our beliefs that we can “test” them to see if they are true or false. It is amazing that there are so many people that presume one’s perspective without asking one question.
I had a “friend” tell me that there are “people of science” and “people of faith”. His comment was such that he believes (there is that BS again) that they are mutually exclusive! Not true.
I am glad that science has changed it’s opinion on blood-letting. I am glad that I have questioned some people of faith to expose their inability to convince me of their opinion. There are a lot of “false teachers” in this world, both in science and faith. I believe that truth should stand up to ANY test. To blindly avoid researching a subject, within reason (I am not going to research why a dog is really an airplane), because it may change my current beliefs seems “religious” and/or closed minded.
This episode immediately received a dislike the day it was released. Probably from my “loving friend 🐺”.
